Job Title: RN Wound Care Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Wound Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, WCC required; WOCN preferred Must-Have: - Previous charge experience required - Experience with Epic charting system required - Community hospital experience required Description: Accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care. Includes direct patient skin and wound management, patient/family education, and transitions of care. Delivers holistic and individualized care to all patients in the assigned area. Develops, implements, manages, and coordinates an optimal interdisciplinary plan of care. Incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, and healthcare providers. Communicates timely and effectively. Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations. Promotes a quality, highly reliable patient experience. Engages in continuous growth and development in professional nursing practice. Acuity is one patient every 30 minutes, managing approximately 8-10 patients daily. Skills include assessment and management of various wound types, care procedures, and infection control measures. Proficiency in using wound care products and techniques is essential. Maintains knowledge of patient diagnoses and special procedures.
